The latest reports have claimed that Crystal Palace star winger Wilfried Zaha has pleaded with the Eagles to allow him to join rival club Arsenal as it was the club that he supported when he was a kid.
Crystal Palace is already close to losing their star defender Aaron Wan Bissaka this summer in a £50 million bid as the right-back is set to join Manchester United after reportedly completing a medical at Carrington with the announcement in a few days. But the Premier League club could also lose their marquee attacker Wilfried Zaha who netted 10 goals for Crystal Palace last season in the Premier League.
Palace also hinted that only one of their big name players will be allowed to leave Selhurst Park in the summer but Zaha is reportedly keen on leaving the South London outfit in order to join fierce local rivals Arsenal because the 26-year-old winger was a big fan of the Gunners back in his childhood days.
Zaha is currently with the Ivory Coast preparing for the African Cup Of Nations but following international duty, Zaha has asked Palace to give him the green light for a mover to Arsenal because it would be his dream come true. The £80 million rated forward is a tricky and pacey winger and would be a great addition for Unai Emery’s side as Arsenal are lacking someone who can provide them with width and guile on the pitch.
Arsenal though will be unable to afford Zaha because of his hefty price range and the English outfit will be given only a transfer war chest of £45 million to splash in the summer transfer window because of their failure to qualify for the elite Champions League.
The former Manchester United superstar could decide to make a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer but Arsenal will have to offload some key players to accommodate Zaha.
