It’s fair to say that Arsenal got themselves a gem in Nicolas Pepe. Considering the fact that they didn’t have money to buy him makes his presence all more instigating. We haven’t seen him play for all of 90 minutes which we may in the game against Liverpool.
Come Liverpool, come Mane. The Senegalese winger has taken into life at Liverpool almost in a similar manner like his African commodore but only in a less better way. Mane from last year and the one against Southampton will be the one Arsenal would not want to face, to say the least.
Sadio Mane and Nicolas Pepe are both natural wingers with handful of similarities between them. They dribble as well as score. They attack and can also defend. They sprint like Usain, squeeze into the penalty box like a Ghost.
Nicolas Pepe
The more deadly of the two is Sadio Mane because of the experience he has had in Premier League. No! No! No! No!
Don’t mistake his inexperience for his inability because of transcends way beyond his age and outshines the more experienced candidates with his talent and tenacity. The spirit of Pepe of Ligue 1 if comes within the one at Arsenal, even the mighty defence of Liverpool will look meek.
Nicolas Pepe, like most wingers has a knack to cut in through the wings into the box, either for the striker or some centre-back waiting inside the penalty box for his crosses. The forte of Pepe basically lies in his excessive ability to provide pin-point through balls.
Not afraid to get fouled for the team, Nicolas is more physical than his body testimonies to he. If you’re a Liverpool defender, you’ll have to beware of his long range shots, be ready to intercept his passes and dive to stop his dribbles. In short, get ready to fall down and stand up faster.
Sadio Mane
If you want to shut the critics, read a book on Sadio Mane. The African winger has got the best out of himself amidst the rows of racism and criticism.
Not only has Mane been the best winger of Premier League in last season but has been one of the most amazing that English fans have seen over last years. Remind me of one better than him? I’ll wait. The full-backs of Arsenal are not as adapt as their centre-backs and this is where the ability of Mane chips in.
We all know that his agility and goal-scoring abilities orchestrate pretty well but what makes his a tough nut is his add-on as a winger to score goals from headers. This is the least I can say about him. The winger is a team man ready to sacrifice his tally of goals for Salah or Firmino.
Mane’s defensive aptitude is also rated above par. Not that Liverpool require him in that position but this guy is always willing to get in his all for the team. That’s what you want from a winger. All in for the team.
