According to Daily Star, William Saliba is set to return to Arsenal from his loan spell at St-Etienne after the French top-flight being cancelled earlier this week.
The Gunners signed the Frenchmen for £25m last summer and was loaned back to Saint-Etienne for a year-long loan, giving him time to improve at Saint Etienne. However, the Ligue 1 was called off amid the coronavirus pandemic and Arsenal could be tempted to recall Saliba.
Saliba’s contract with French club is until June 30 and the centre-back cannot represent the Gunners until the 2020/21 campaign.

With all the mishaps in the footballing world as of now leaving everyone confused especially over the loan players and their returns. FIFA’s legal director Emilio Garcia Silvero revealed that any attempts to register with another club until the 2019-20 campaign is either completed or called off.
Garcia Silvero said: “Fifa cannot extend the contracts beyond June 30 but the transfer windows will not be the same and the players will not be able to be registered.
“It means the market will not open on July 1.
“And if a loan ends on June 30, the player should return to his club but the window would not be open and the return transfer would not be processed.”
