Arsenal are reportedly looking to sign midfielder Adrien Rabiot in the summer transfer window with Juventus seeing him as surplus to requirements for the 2020/21 campaign.
The 25-year-old who joined the Old Lady last summer on a free deal from PSG has been a long time target for the north London side. His debut season at Allianz arena has not been a successful one, with recent reports suggest that the Frenchman is unhappy at being forced to take a wage cut given the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.
Everton & Manchester United also interested, a move has thus been mooted with Arsenal and Everton have already begun negotiations in a potential move to bring the Frenchman to England.
The reports also claims that Rabiot’s talent could suit Mikel Arteta’s philosophy and can form a partnership with Matteo Guendouzi.
With Lucas Torreira linked to a return back to Italy and Dani Ceballos hungry to succeed at Real Madrid, Arsenal will need someone to compliment Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi in the midfield to fill the void left by those exits.
Juventus want a deal that will ‘exceed €30m’, yet it remains to be seen whether the Gunners can afford such a price tag.
