Emile Smith Rowe spent the soon to be resumed season on loan at Huddersfield Town since January, though he’s still having one-to-one analysis sessions with Mikel Arteta over video call.
Many Arsenal players have come-out over their regular homeworks by Mikel Arteta in the pandemic times and Smith Rowe confirmed how the Spaniard has been passing on advice to the English youngster.
“We have kept in touch during lockdown and we have gone through some clips. He has told me what I need to improve on.”, Smith Rowe revealed.
Smith Rowe also revealed that Arteta was fully supportive of him going out on loan following his Premier League debut against Everton.
“He said that it is probably the best thing for me to go out. You can see he has given the young players chances and that is something all young players should thrive off.
“When you see others playing you want to push yourself and get in that position as well.”
Smith Rowe has three assists and a goal in ten appearances since his move to John Smith’s Stadium and has made an immediate impact at Huddersfield. Following an injury hit spell with RB Leipzig last year, Emile admits he is enjoying life under Danny and Nicky.
“It is like a family here,” Smith Rowe said.
“Danny has been amazing to me. He has taught me so much; Nicky as well. They have helped me every day. I watch clips with them before every game and it has definitely been different. I can’t thank them enough.”
Huddersfield are scheduled to face Sheffield United in a friendly later this week as The Terriers gird up one’s loins the Championship’s return on 20 June.
West Yorkshire club are having a tough time this year, sitting at the base of the table placed eighteenth and they know they have to hit the ground running when they come up against Wigan in eleven days time.
And for Emile, a strong finish to the season will give him the platform to come back at Arsenal and challenge for a spot in the first team next season.
