Konstantinos Dinos Mavropanos has signed a new contract at Arsenal and will be joining German side VfB Stuttgart for the 2020-21 campaign.
Dinos signed for Arsenal from Giannina in 2018 for £1.8 million, but has featured just eight times for the men in Red and Whites owing to consistent injury layoffs. The twenty-two year old was loaned out to Nuremberg in January this campaign as he helped them avoid relegation in tier two.
His short stint at Nuremberg has got many Bundesliga clubs interested with Werder Bremen being one of five clubs eyeing his services but Stuttgart have emerged victorious in that battle.
Mavropanos has since said his first words since the move was confirmed.
“Switching to VfB is a new challenge in my career,” he told Stuttgart’s official website. “I thank the management and the trainer for the trust they have placed in me. My goal is to return this trust with good performances and to do my part for a successful VfB season.”

Stuttgart’s sporting director Sven Mislintat on the move said, “We are very happy that we were able to sign Konstantinos Mavropanos for one season from Arsenal.”
“We’ve known each other since our time together at Arsenal, so I’ve been watching his development for a correspondingly long time.
“Konstantinos is strong in tackling, quick to start and suits us very well with his skills and ambition.”
