Real Valladolid’s 18-year-old full-back Ivan Fresneda may remain with the La Liga club until the end of the season, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Despite being linked to top clubs across the continent, including Arsenal, a January transfer now appears to be unlikely.
Earlier, it was reported that Borussia Dortmund was pushing to complete a deal for Fresneda, with Valladolid valuing the player at €15 million (£13.2m).
However, Romano has since stated that the teenager will stay with Valladolid unless there are any late developments in the winter transfer window.
🚨 Understand Iván Fresneda will stay at Valladolid in January unless there are twists in the final hours.

With two and a half years remaining on his current contract, Valladolid is in no rush to sell Fresneda. Although a summer move is still on the table for the talented right-back, who has a bright future ahead of him.
If Arsenal’s Carl Jenkinson does depart from the Emirates Stadium, manager Mikel Arteta may look to strengthen his defensive options.
