Arsenal recently agreed a deal with Fluminense by loaning out young winger Marquinhos with a option to buy included in the deal.
Marquinhos has failed to impress in the senior team football and the Gunners’ left him out of the Champions League squad after calling him back from his loan-spells from Nantes in January.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Arsenal have made a smart financial decision in the clause included that would take Marquinhos to Fluminense. Arsenal have included a 50 percent sell-on clause for any sale of Marquinhos. This can transfer into a significant profit for the Gunners.
Although the 20-year-old has failed to make his mark in Europe, this deal can lead to a potential future financial opportunities for Arsenal.
It will be good for Marquinhos to go back to Brazil and go back into his familiar environment which would be a massive confidence booster following his failed loan spells Norwich City and Nantes. This should aid Marquinhos’ development and help him develop into a player that he was supposed to become.
