One of the highlight of this summer transfer window for Arsenal is Jack Wilshere staying at his boy hood club. And Arsenal supporters cannot be more excited then this is see Wilshere return into the contention for the first team. Wilshere has not featured for Arsenal’s first team since a long time now. Cherry on the cake in this contention is that despite in need of a top-quality midfielder Arsenal went against it in the transfer window. Which means ‘Jack Andrew Garry Wilshere’ has got a real chance to prove people ‘What he possesses’, that he is still that very same ‘Golden Boy’.
Jack Wilshere has hit low in his career after dealing with back-to-back injuries, but he is one of the fan favourite and his return will mean high expectations from the once to be called “Wonder Kid of English Football“. He is at the right place at right time as with Arsenal facing deficiencies for the attacking midfielder role, Jack Wilshere can be as same as £35 million new signing.
Talking about the match,
Arsenal will be looking to head back to the winning ways after suffering two successive defeats in the hands of Stoke City and Liverpool. We can say losing at Bet365 Stadium was bit of unlucky but performance at Anfield was miserable. The frustration amongst Arsenal fans grew as a bad end to transfer window was fire to ‘another reason’ for Arsenal fans to kick out Arsene Wenger.
Bournemouth are bit unlucky to not pickup any point yet this season, because there performance were more than ‘satisfying’ to pick three in all games played. They gave all in for the Manchester City game before international break but 97th minute winner from Raheem Sterling was not what they deserved.
The pressure will be on Arsene Wenger as he has got critics to prove, but on the other side of the fence Eddie Howe won’t really be pessimistic as Bournemouth had gone to survive in the top-division in both of their seasons in top tier.
Arsenal Fans should make up their mind to see some of the youngsters appear in the season for filling the void left by departure of Alex-Ox Chamberlain. Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock are the ones who are expected to make a mark this season. Arsene Wenger was asked about the opportunity for both the starlets ahead of Bournemouth fixture, here is what he responded:
“At the end of the day, you make decisions that you choose one or the other one. We had to sell somebody and overall I believe that we are today in a strong financial situation as always and we have a good enough squad to compete.
“That doesn’t take away any of the quality of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, I think he is a great player but sometimes it opens the door for some younger players like Reiss Nelson or Joe Willock, or players who are in behind and get an opportunity that they wouldn’t get.”
Arsene Wenger is known to produce talents, he is someone who has ‘touch of gold’ for upcoming professionals. Arsene can turn an ordinary player in the reserves into superhero for the first team. That is exactly what not only Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock but also Arsenal fans will be looking forward to.
Arsenal have got an Europa League fixture coming up in the midweek and a visit to Stamford Bridge for the next weekend. The boys in Red and White will be looking to build momentum going into the game.
When and Where?
Emirates stadium will be hosting the tie between Arsenal and Bournemouth on Saturday at 19:30 IST
What is the latest team news?
Arsene Wenger insists Wilshere needs work on his fitness. Aaron Ramsey, David Ospina, Alexis Sanchez will undergo fitness test after coming back from International duty. Santi Cazorla is back to running, but will still take atleast 2-3 months to get back to contention.
For the visiting side, Nathan Ake and Benik Afobe are expected to be back after picking up minute knocks. Simon Francis is a doubt after suffering hamstring injury.
Are You Arsenal Fan?
It’s hard to be a Gooner in recent times but there is some good news we’ve got. Alexis Sanchez is back from international duty and it seems he is hungry to return under Arsenal badge again as he took to Social Media calling Arsenal as ‘Home’. And we cannot ask more than that :
