Arsenal are being accompanied by Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester City as the English giants scout highly-rated Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera.
The 20-year-old has already become an integral part of the Spanish team’s squad having broken into the first-team picture aged 17.
Now, as per reports from TBR Football, Arsenal are looking to steal a march on their immediate rivals and get ahead in the pursuit for the promising Colombian. Despite being a part of the Spain squad that won the Olympic gold recently, Mosquera has been dubbed to favour his country of birth and could represent them.
Seen as one of the best young prospects in all of LaLiga, it comes as little to no surprise that some of England’s top sides are eager to sign Cristhian Mosquera.
A little background on Arsenal target Cristhian Mosquera
Valencia have one of the most-reputed youth academies in European football that continues to churn top talent irrespective of the club’s local performances. Alongside Mosquera, the Spanish club has highly-rated defenders Yarek Gasiorowski and Cesar Tarrega in their ranks, with both players being monitored by Europe’s finest clubs.
Now, with Cristhian Mosquera’s rise to prominence, Valencia will do their best to sell their prized asset at a premium.
Born in June 2004, Mosquera is the product of Colombian parents in Spain. He initially played basketball as a youngster but eventually transitioned into football. He represented the Carolinas and Hercules youth teams before joining Valencia’s setup in 2016.
