As revealed by reputed transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg, Hammarby IF striker Bazoumana Toure is now drawing attention from elite English rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 18-year-old starlet has been turning heads since moving to Sweden’s top-flight side from African outfit ASEC Mimosas in March this year. He has since scored nine goals and provided four assists in 23 appearances in the Allsvenskan league.
Toure boasts incredible pace and can destabilise an opponent’s defence with his clever movements in the box. Several Premier League powerhouses and other foreign clubs have enquired about the African prospect’s availability.
Spurs, Manchester United, Bayer Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, RB Leipzig, Benfica, and Bayern Munich are closely following the player’s progress.

Arsenal are also highly interested since the young attacker can be a valuable long-term investment. The Hammarby striker’s contract ends in 2028 and is currently valued at just £8.3 million.

The Swedish club’s director, Mikael Hjelmberg, has admitted that there is interest in their player, and it is likely that the talented striker will leave soon.
Although he wants him to stay at the club, there is no doubting his capability to play for a top club in the near future. While talking about Toure’s future plans with the club, the director said:
“There are quite a lot of big clubs coming now. And we have known about that (the interest). We need to plan for a future without him. Then if it happens this winter, next summer, or even further than that, I don’t think so in and of itself. We’ll see. But the longer we get to keep him, the better.”
The Hammarby ace can follow in the footsteps of legendary players like Kolo Toure, Salomon Kalou, and Yaya Toure, who made their debut at Mimosas and went on to score big later in their careers.
Arsenal and Tottenham lock horns once again
Both clubs have targeted the same players in recent months. Toure is the new focal point since he can be the next generational talent.
The youngster can play on both wings for Arsenal and can help ease the workload on both Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. Mikel Arteta only has Leandro Trossard to operate at those positions, and a new addition can help them in the long run.
Meanwhile, Spurs want to invest in the wonderkid due to the uncertainty surrounding Son Heung-min’s contract and Richarlison’s inconsistent form this season.

But he is not the only youngster whom these clubs are fighting for. The fierce English rivals are set to go toe to toe in the race to sign 17-year-old Sunderland star Chris Rigg. Bournemouth full-back Milos Kerkez is another player who is high on their transfer wishlist.
