Arsenal looking to raid West Ham for another star player in the near future

Kudus-Arsenal

Keep an eye on Kudus, he may follow the Declan Rice path to Arsenal

Arsenal have been looking to add to their squad depth in recent times as they look to break their multi-decade wait for a Premier League title.

The Gunners are looking to do business with West Ham United once again, but this time for star winger Mohammed Kudus.

The north Londoners famously smashed their transfer record as they acquired Declan Rice from the Hammers in 2023. They fended off competition from Manchester City and others as they signed their target for a whopping £105 million – the joint-highest fee for an English player.

Now, Arsenal have their eyes peeled and intentions clear as they are looking to onboard Kudus. The Ghanaian would offer the Gunners versatility in the final third, with his ability to play as an attacking midfielder or out on the wings.

Manager Mikel Arteta has made some crucial additions to the squad in the several transfer windows he has overseen. However, the main focus for the last few windows seemed to have been defensive solidity, which the club has achieved to a great extent with their current crop of defenders.

They are now aiming for similar growth in other areas of the pitch and are prepared to recruit players who play further up, and also offer interchangeability when needed.

To that tune, they have their sights firmly set on Mohammed Kudus, who made the switch to the London Stadium from Ajax last summer as well. A pacey, left-footed player who can dribbled past opponents and also packs a powerful shot, Arteta believes Kudus is one of the missing pieces in Arsenal’s puzzle.

However, signing him will not be easy by any means. As per the report from TBR Football, the Ghanaian has a release clause upwards of £80 million, a fee the Gunners will have to think twice about before paying.
