Fulham’s new signing Emile Smith Rowe believes that Arsenal already possesses a star player in Martin Odegaard who is better than the Premier League’s midfield legend Kevin de Bruyne.
The 24-year-old joined the Cottagers last summer and has already made five goal contributions in 16 appearances. The midfielder still loves the club and found it hard to leave the Emirates Stadium.
Smith Rowe, Arsenal loyalties
In his recent interview, he has talked highly about the club and has also given his insights on who is the best midfielder in the PL. Smith Rowe shared the same dressing room with Odegaard and believes that his level of consistency makes him better than the Manchester City maestro.
While talking to Sky Sports, the former Gooner said:
“The best attacking midfielder in the league is? My ex-teammate, Martin Odegaard. Yeah man he’s probably one of the best I’ve played with to be honest.”
“Obviously there’s KDB who is probably my favourite player in the Premier League but seeing someone everyday how they live and how they play and just how they perform every week. It’s just crazy, one of the best I’ve been around.”
A big big claim…
Smith Rowe has made a big claim saying that Odegaard is better than De Bruyne. Although, the Norwegian is a talented player and someone Arsenal wanted from a long time, the City captain boasts a much better stats even at this age.

Historically De Bruyne has been better than the Arsenal midfielder. He is a two times PFA Player of the Year winner and also a six time PL champion. Many might argue that the 33-year-old is a faded force now, but he still has a similar goal contributions to Odeegard’s in the past two seasons.
No doubt, the London Colney have a gem in their hands, but the Belgian superstar remains the best in the world. City’s poor form might have casted a shadow on their star player’s performances, but he is capable enough to turn the tides.

Odegaard has all the capabilities to become a player that Kevin de Bruyne once was (and possibly then the Belgian) if he remains consistent with his performances.
