Arsenal keeping tabs on AC Milan attacking duo in case the opportunity arises

Morata-Arsenal

Arsenal are in the market for striker options and are exploring deals for some of the best and most expensive players, but will also keep an eye open for any cut-price deals. To that tune, Arsenal Fanatics News have reported that the Gunners are keeping tabs on AC Milan attackers Alvaro Morata and Tammy Abraham, who are seen as potentially valuable additions by the north Londoners.

The two players have extensive experience of playing in the Premier League before. Morata has played 47 PL games, scoring 16 times and providing six assists as well. Abraham has 89 matches under his belt, along with 26 goals and five assists as well. Their experience could be one of the biggest reasons Arsenal are showing interest, with Morata already 32 and Abraham 27 currently.

The Gunners have previously been linked with moves for both players, but neither materialized over the years, and now they wish to circle back on their targets. Morata currently has six goals and two assists in 24 appearances this season, while Abraham has six goals and five assists in 26 appearances. It is interesting to see if AC Milan would part with their players.

Manchester United’s wantaway winger Marcus Rashford has been on the radar of several top clubs all over Europe, with multiple offers pouring in for the England international. The feeling around AC Milan is that they will first try and sign Rashford before sanctioning departures for any of their current crop of attackers.

As a result, Arsenal will have to keep their eyes peeled for any developments with Rashford, who has also been linked with moves to Napoli and Borussia Dortmund this January. The Gunners themselves were in for the player but his wage demands and general attitude seems to have disinterested Mikel Arteta.

Should Arsenal get a chance to make their move, they will prefer Tammy Abraham over Morata due him being five years younger. He also fits into the club’s culture and it remains to be seen if this story progresses.
