Arsenal are preparing for a huge Champions League night against Bayern Munich, and there’s finally some good news on the injury front. According to @2SA_FC, Noni Madueke is now back training on grass and is expected to return imminently potentially in time to face Bayern.
The 22-year-old winger has been out with a muscle issue but has stepped up his recovery over the international break. His return could offer Arsenal a much-needed injection of pace and directness on the right-hand side, especially with Bukayo Saka managing his own fitness carefully.
Havertz also closing in on a highly anticipated return with Noni Madueke
Kai Havertz is also on the verge of returning.
The German has been dealing is said to be progressing well. Arsenal’s medical team have been working overtime to get players back in shape, and both Havertz and Madueke could be part of the squad for the Bayern game if things continue to go well this week.
Skipper still serving the sidelines
However, not everything is positive. Martin Ødegaard is still sidelined and is now expected to miss around five more weeks of action. That rules him out of several key fixtures, including both legs against Bayern and some tough Premier League games.
Ødegaard’s absence continues to be a big blow, with his creativity and leadership difficult to replace. Arsenal will rely on Eze / Nwaneri or potentially a deeper-lying role for Declan Rice to cover the gap in midfield.
With the season hitting a decisive stretch, the timing of returns for Madueke and Havertz could be vital but Mikel Arteta will have to continue navigating games without his captain.
