Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette pulls out his name from France squad hours after late call-up.
Lacazette who has not been capped by Les Blues since 2017 has seen recalled to the France national team in the UEFA Nations league clash against Netherlands following an injury to Manchester United star Anthony Martial.
A groin injury forced Anthony Martial to pull out of Didier Deschamps’ squad on Monday.
However, hours later, France confirmed that Lacazette would not be joining up with the squad.
A statement on Twitter read on Monday: “Lacazette will not be able to answer his convocation,”
“This decision was taken after an exchange between Dr. Franck Le Gall and his counterparts at Arsenal.”
.@LacazetteAlex, ne pourra pas répondre à sa convocation. Cette décision a été prise à l’issue d’un échange entre le Docteur Franck Le Gall et ses homologues d’Arsenal.
