Looks like, losing two Champions League finals in last four years, one against Barcelona in 2015 and another at the hands of Real Madrid in 2017, Juventus has realised the value of big names. Recently, signing Ronaldo this summer and getting Ramsey to start from the next, Juventus surely have left no stones unturned in becoming one big noun.
Since the start of winter window, Aaron Ramsey had been linked and speculated with a transfer to Juventus which finally shaped out to be true and gave an end to series of uncertainties. The Welshman has signed a five-year-deal with Old Lady for reported fee of £36 million.
“Aaron Ramsey next June, done deal,” Italian journalist Fabrizioi Romano tweeted on Wednesday night. “His agent will be in Italy soon to meet Juventus director Paratici and sign the contract for next season. Here we go!”
The 28-year-old midfielder will join Juventus for a free transfer this summer which leaves him with merely 3-4 months at Emirates stadium. A great run of 10 years will finally come to an end when Ramsey will leave Gunners to don Turin alongside Dybala, Pjanic and Ronaldo.
The deal of £7.2 million per annum is Juventus’ second best after their record summer signing Cristiano Ronaldo for €100 million. By penning down the contract Ramsey has become second best, above Dybala and Pjanic. Juventus have made a fair deal in bargaining a player like Ramsey for a low price( according to his standards).
Aaron Ramsey will be in starting XI of Max Allegri, who admires the creativity and skill set of Welshman and is likely to feature alongside Matuidi and Pjanic taking over the place of Bentancur.
With Ramsey going off, Mesut Ozil is likely to sign new contract with the Gunners. However, the spotlight now remains of the Wales great who served the North London side with utmost diligence and pride, and who has only few months more in front of a dedicated love team.
