Belgian midfielder Yannick Carrasco is too good for the Chinese Super League as he is currently playing his football for Dalian Yifang, scoring and assisting for fun, but the former Atletico Madrid man wants a return to European football and Arsenal are on red alert.
Carrasco has confirmed that there is an offer on the table for a club to snap him up in the summer and most of the rumors believe that the secret outfit could be Premier League club Arsenal.
The North London giants were linked with a move to sign Carrasco in the January transfer window last year but the talented winger decided to make a transfer to the Far East to play for Chinese club Dalian Yifang.
But now, quite inevitably, Carrasco looks set to return to European football after a brief stint in China and has confirmed that there is an offer that he is looking forward to, “There is now an offer on the table and the negotiations with my agent are progressing well. The club that wants me has the maximum for that. They accept the basic conditions that Dalian Yifang sets. Now it’s a matter of getting out for the details. I am the most important player in the club, but I hope the chairman understands me.”
The 25-year-old also stated that he did not regret moving to China and even though he is still happy, he would like to return to his family in Europe as he explained, “It’s not that I don’t like football in China. That goes well. From a family point of view, I would rather play in Europe and stay closer to my family. The adjustment for my family was also difficult over there. I don’t think we’ve underestimated life there. I have no regrets about my transfer to China. It was a beautiful experience. Still, if it turns out they won’t let me go. I have become a lot more mature and have learned a lot. Also on the field, where I had to take my responsibility and the team had to bear. But my wish now is to return.”
