According to the latest reports, Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey had undergone a medical at the same clinic that Gonzalo Higuain went to in Spain.
It is no doubt that Aaron Ramsey is playing his last few games at the Emirates before he will move on to a different club in the summer transfer window. The 28-year-old midfielder has not signed a contract extension with the North London giants and his deal expires in the summer with a hoard of top clubs in Europe keen on his signature.
It’s quite clear that Serie A giants Juventus were the leaders to sign Ramsey and bring him to Turin in the summer and a pre-contract agreement that was signed mid-January meant that Ramsey will be joining Juventus after June.
But there have been some secretive details emerging from Ramsey’s potential move to Turin in the summer. The Welshman however, was given full authorization and permission by the Arsenal board to have a medical but that did not take place in England nor in Italy. Apparently, in December, Ramsey had a gone through a medical in Madrid at the same clinic that Gonzalo Higuain went to before the Argentine joined Napoli.
Ramsey was tipped to leave Arsenal back in January but Gunners manager Unai Emery was keen to keep hold of the box to box midfielder. Ramsey too did not want to receive disturbing options mid-way through the season and was keen on focusing just on his football.
Arsenal was reportedly willing to put Ramsey on sale for an offer that would earn them around €18-€20 million in January. However, a move did not go through and Arsenal have a better chance now of finishing in the top four of the Premier League with Ramsey in the squad till the end of this season.
