AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek has revealed a ‘come and get me’ plea to Arsenal after stating that the North London giants are one of his two favorite clubs.
Unai Emery’s next summer transfer target may have decided a move for himself as AC Milan wonder kid Piatek has revealed that Premier League giants Arsenal are one of his favorite clubs alongside Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain.
Piatek has been catching the eye of plenty top clubs in the European continent this season after netting 26 goals in 29 games. The young striker made the move to the San Siro in the winter transfer window from Serie A rivals Genoa but he has hit the ground running at the Rossoneri.
With so much attention being focused on the goalscoring 23-year-old, there are now old quotes made by Piatek which have resurfaced and one of them interestingly about the Gunners.
Piatek spoke with Wezlo back in 2017 and opened up on his favorite clubs outside his native Poland, “I have two favorite clubs abroad, Arsenal, although as you know, it’s hard to be a fan of Arsenal because you have to suffer a lot. I also like PSG. It’s my favorite club in Europe. I hope they will win the league and reach the final of the Champions League.”
If Piatek used to enjoy Arsenal playing as a youngster, he would certainly have not been happy by the way things were going at the Emirates during the long trophy drought during Arsene Wenger’s last few seasons as manager of the North London outfit.
At such a tender age, Piatek is catching fire and his goalscoring knack is being recognized. If it’s his dream to play for Arsenal one day, Piatek could replace either Alexandre Lacazette or Pierre Emerick Aubameyang at the Emirates Stadium some day.
However, a move to Arsenal in the summer seems unlikely as Piatek only joined AC Milan over a month ago in the winter transfer window.
