Arsenal are among the frontrunners in the race to bring former Juventus star Adrien Rabiot to the Emirates Stadium.

According to the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal are in pole position to sign Adrien Rabiot, as Rabiot’s mother and agent, Veronique Rabiot, has confirmed that she is in discussions with multiple clubs, including Arsenal, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid.

Adrien Rabiot is a 29-year-old midfielder who spent most of his career with Paris Saint-Germain, making his debut with the first team in 2012 and accomplishing many feats, which include winning eighteen major honors and five Ligue 1 titles. In 2019, Rabiot signed for Juventus on a free transfer, and he was no less impressive, winning the Serie A title during his first season with the club and the Coppa Italia in his second and fifth seasons.

Rabiot has been capped 53 times for France at the youth level and debuted for the senior team in 2016. He participated in UEFA Euro 2020, the 2022 FIFA World Cup (where Les Blues finished as runners-up), and Euro 2024.

His contract with Juventus concluded in June, and despite multiple attempts by the Turin-based side to extend it, no common ground could be reached, and he is now lurking for a new club as a free agent.

Alongside Arsenal, the French maestro is also being pursued by Manchester United.

Given the fact that he is seeking Champions League football, the Gunners can potentially provide it for a long period of time owing to the project they have at the Emirates Stadium.

Veronique Rabiot said, “It’s true; I’m talking to some clubs. And I’m the only contact. In fact, I am talking to certain clubs, but then some media attribute to me contacts with other teams that I do not speak to. So, I suppose that other people speak for me.”

Rabiot’s experience and skill would be a valuable addition to Arsenal’s squad, and his desire for Champions League football aligns perfectly with the club’s ambitions.

If the transfer for Rabiot materializes, he would be a second midfield addition at London Colney this summer, alongside Mikel Merino, who looks set on moving to North London.

With the transfer window still open, the negotiations are ongoing, which puts the Gunners in a strong position to secure the French midfielder’s signature. If they succeed, it would be a significant addition for the North London giants and further enhance their standing in European football.
