Alex Iwobi has been getting some jeers from the Arsenal faithful recently, with all the quality he possess to become into an exceptional player – his honeymoon period as a youngster is way past him and he really has to start showcasing his talent on consistent basis to earn himself a way back into good list of the Gooners around the globe.
Though, lets take a moment to appreciate his talent…
Whether you like him or not, there is no disputing that Iwobi is the most hated player at the club. Iwobi has 4 goals and 6 assists this season, good for the third most goals involved at the club (10), only trailing Aubameyang and Lacazette. I took a lot away from a recent @aftvmedia video. Lee Gunner arguing DT claims that he’s been involved in one fifth of our goals. That’s actually incorrect, it’s less than that, but he made some other interesting points.

He said he reminds him of an early Raheem Sterling, which thinking about it, I agree with. He’s sort of an unnatural athlete in his running form and his skill, but he’s effective in it. He can use his speed well, he can get the better of opposing defenders, and no, is end product isn’t complete but it’s getting there.
If he can get the right mentorship, which he has been been getting and it’s showing, he still has a lot of potential and could become a dangerous player. I don’t believe he’ll be as good as Sterling but it’s an interesting comparison considering young Sterling had similar strengths, weaknesses, and potential.
Back to the topic, he’s super quick, he is very fast, has one on one skill, good vision and can play a good through ball. Maybe his end product is inconsistent, but we’ve seen him score beauties, lasers into the top corner, etc. We know it’s in him
The simple fact is he hasn’t been nearly as bad or as useless as people have unfairly said of him. Give him a break!
