Arsenal fans can finally get a glimpse of original Alexandre Lacazette, with the Frenchman returning back to his best.
Lacazette made his first start for Arsenal in two months against CSKA Moscow, as the 26-years-old mark his return from injury. Alexandre Lacazette netted two goals past Akinfeev inside thirty-five minutes. He missed a couple of chances to take the ball home but Arsene Wenger soon replaced him with Danny Welbeck in the 74th minute, denying him a chance for his first Arsenal hat-trick.
Like Lacazette, his team-mate Aaron Ramsey was also on hat-trick after getting couple of early goals. Despite of getting chances at regular intervals – both of them did everything except scoring their third one.
Lacazette told BT Sport: ‘Yeah, I wanted [to stay on] – like Rambo [Aaron Ramsey], I think. ‘This wasn’t the day for the first [hat-trick], but it’s fine. I’m happy.’
Arsenal rely on Alexandre Lacazette upfront for Europa League this season, with record-signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cup tied from making appearance in the Europe.
