Arsenal are moving quickly to initiate talks with Newcastle United for the transfer of in-form striker Alexander Isak next summer, as per Indykaila News on X.
The 25-year-old is firing on all cylinders this season with six goal contributions in nine games. The Gunners have been keen admirers of the Swedish ace, particularly Mikel Arteta, who loved the striker’s lethal finishing skills.
The English rivals tried to ignite a move by offering £65 million for the player, but it was straightforwardly rejected. They aren’t giving up yet and will test the Magpies’ stance by launching a second offer for Isak.
Arsenal are moving fast! They are meeting tonight to discuss Alexander Isak.

Newcastle value him highly since he has contributed 35 goals in just 53 starts in two years. They splashed £63m to sign him back then, and the striker is now a really important part of their project.
CAN ARSENAL GET THEIR HANDS ON ALEXANDER ISAK?
Arsenal need a prolific number nine who can compete with Erling Haaland in the goal-scoring charts. Isak ticks all boxes and is still far away from his prime years. The former Real Sociedad star wants to play for a team that regularly competes in the UEFA Champions League and lifts prestigious titles.
Newcastle were unable to make it to the top four last season, which might raise some doubts. But they are playing well this term and are close to the top four. Who knows, the picture might change as the season proceeds.
But at this moment it is highly unlikely that Eddie Howe’s team will sell him for anything less than £100m. The manager will not entertain any offer in January, and he will try to repel any such aggressive transfer attempts next summer.
🚨🗣️ Theo Walcott: “Isak is the sort of player Arsenal genuinely need, but you would say everyone needs a player like him in their team right now, even Liverpool… it’s not just Premier League teams either.”

Isak’s contract runs until 2028, which means that the ball is in Newcastle’s court. Arsenal have a very little chance to sign him until and unless they splash a club record fee on the Swedish sensation.

We believe that Arsenal’s recruitment chiefs should shift their focus on Sporting CP’s Victor Gyokeres, a striker who is running rampant with 28 goals in 23 games for both club and country this season.
The 26-year-old has the ability to push the North London outfit’s attack to another level. The race to sign a striker has now started to pick up pace.
