Arsenal and Chelsea are set to engage in a piece of transfer business yet again as another player seemingly prepares for a move across London. If reports from Caught Offside are to be believed, the Blues are all set to offload Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to the Gunners come January as the player has not met expectations held by the Stamford Bridge side.
The 26-year-old only made the switch from the King Power Stadium in the 2023 summer transfer window and has sparingly featured in their cup matches. Dewsbury-Hall has featured for just 774 minutes in 14 matches across competitions, scoring one and assisting one goal apiece.
However, this is a major drop from his performances for Leicester last season, which helped them earn promotion to the top-flight once again. He racked up 12 goals and 15 assists for the Foxes over the course of 49 matches across competitions. Now, both the player and Chelsea seem to be disgruntled with the move, which could bring Arsenal into the picture.
Will Dewsbury-Hall be a good fit for the Gunners?
An attacking midfielder very similar to a player Arsenal just let go in Emile Smith Rowe, Dewsbury-Hall is a ball-carrying midfielder with an eye for a pass and a long shot. Fairly two-footed with great work ethic on both ends of the field, he fits the demands Mikel Arteta would have of a player perfectly.
The only stumbling block that seems to be there is whether he would get any more game time with the Gunners than he does with the Blues currently. Arsenal already have Martin Odegaard and then Ethan Nwaneri as the pecking order for the creative midfielder or playmaker role, and bringing another new player who is fairly established would hinder Nwaneri’s progress.

Chelsea could also be tempted to do a cut-price deal as it is necessary for them to get the player off their books. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal move first, with others such as Fulham, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Rangers all keeping tabs on the situation from afar.
