BBC journalist David Ornstein reported that Arsenal have made an approach to sign Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic on a loan deal this month with £35 million option to buy at the end of the season.
Arsenal have made an approach to sign Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic. #AFC want loan with £35m option to buy. 29yo open to #Inter exit. Fits plan of versatile midfielder e.g. Suarez (still possible) / Nkunku + winger. Unclear if injuries mean defender wanted but Sokratis not bad

This is not the first time Ivan Pulisic has been liked with a move to Premier League, there have been links with Manchester United in the past – but its all Gunners right now and they could just land him this week.
As the news of Perisic to Arsenal emerged, Plenty of Gooners have taken to Twitter to voice their opinions on their potential signing, with views ranging from true excitement to those who feel it being a shortsighted deal.
Here’s a look at some of the reaction…
I’m done with arsenal at least for now, if we end up swapping ozil for perisic, I’m not ozil biggest fan, but even at his worse form, he is streets ahead of perisic.

Arsenal smoke some serious gear don’t they. Why would they think Inter would accept a loan with option to buy for Perisic when teams couldn’t sign him permanently last summer. FFS

What are Arsenal playing at. Trying to get Perisic on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy, haha. Next they’ll be asking Barcelona if they can loan Messi until the end of the season, with an option to buy.

I would love Perisic at Arsenal, he’s top drawer on his day

If I was Arsenal, I’d do a straight swap with Özil. If Emery doesn’t want to play him regularly then get rid of him. Bring in Perisic on sensible wages on a short term contract https://t.co/KDAAxVeRMd

Perisic has scored 3 goals this season . Not the signing we need. #Arsenal .

RT mikesanz19: Ivan Perisic would be a great signing for Arsenal. Imagine him, Aubameyang, Lacazette and Özil all the on the pitch together – hands on their hips after we’ve just conceded another goal because our defence is still sh*t!

I will take perisic over Suarez but I think we need a defender badly now #Arsenal
— BloodyArsenal TORREIRA 😍 (@_Watchmann) January 27, 2019
Carrasco is a good player but not as versatile as Perisic is. Plus he’s a world cup finalist??? Also the transfers made by the new management have all proven themselves so maybe…just maybe they deserve the benefit of the doubt that they know what they’re doing?

Perisic would be a decent signing for Arsenal. Imagine him Özil, Aubamayang and Lacazette all on the pitch together – standing with their hands on hips cus they’ve just conceded another goal because Arsenal’s defence is still shite.

Perisic cheffing people down to get his dream move to Arsenal
— Rodrigo halop (@rodrigohalop199) January 27, 2019
Perisic is 30, played 25 games this season and brought 3 goals and 2 assists. Many Arsenal fans said Walcott wasn’t good enough so why would this guy be?
— Gooner JK (@Gooner_JK) January 27, 2019
Okay now we’re talking. Perisic is a very high quality player @nws13 @FMLehrer what do you think ? I watch Serie A regularly so I know Perisic is quality.
— Daniel Ogbonnaya (@naphtrax) January 26, 2019
Rather recall Reiss Nelson tbh. Don’t need another attacking player approaching 30, unless it’s a swap for Mhki.
— Shaun (@MrAubameyanged) January 26, 2019
Great player, but no resale value.
— Norman Stanley (@roonious79) January 26, 2019
Could Ozil not be part of a deal for Perisic? They wanted him why not shift him out, double win!!!
— Unai is my homeboy (@like_kan) January 26, 2019
Me thinks he will be a quality addition and his work rate fits the bill of an emery player…The good thing is its optional at the end of the day
— Rhuphus (@Rufik78349853) January 26, 2019
Yes please. Ivan is a baller.

I won’t be unhappy with it

An upgrade on Iwobi for sure
