According to the latest reports from Daily Star, Premier League outfit Arsenal are currently winning the race against North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in a bid to sign AC Milan star winger Suso Fernandez.
The Gunners are struggling to find a player who can stretch their game and add a different dimension in attack. Alex Iwobi has been the man to fit the bill of late but he is far from the finished product. Since Mesut Ozil has fallen out of favor with Spanish manager Unai Emery, Arsenal is in a difficult position but with three months left for the summer transfer window, the speculation has already begun.
Off late, AC Milan talisman Suso has been catching the eye of many top clubs in Europe and Arsenal are one of them as well. In 27 appearances across all competitions this season, Suso has scored six times and passed off eight assists as well.
Naturally, with these incredible performances, Milan is looking to extend Suso’s stay at the San Siro but the 25-year-old is stalling a contract extension with the Italian unit. Gennaro Gattuso has a task on his hands as Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid are looking to fish for Suso’s services in the summer.
Along with the two Champions League contestants, Arsenal boss Unai Emery is also weighing up a move for his Spanish counterpart.
With Aaron Ramsey also set to leave the Emirates in the summer, there is a vacancy that needs to be filled and Suso could be a great alternative.
The star playmaker has the experience of playing in the Premier League as well having had a stint with Liverpool for three seasons. But Suso is looking to win trophies and grow as a footballer and Arsenal are reportedly preparing a £40 million offer for the AC Milan star winger.
Denis Suarez also arrived at Arsenal on a loan deal in January and Emery could build a strong foundation with fresh Spanish players in the summer with a move for the 25-year-old Suso on the cards.
