We are well into November already and with less than couple of months into the Winter transfer window, the rumors start flowing.
Arsenal made headlines in the summer for their potential pursuit for Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele, outta no where. Nothing did materialize then, but the flyers are put weighing a January move for the Frenchman.
Ousmane has not left the headlines for all the wrong reasons, as apparently he has left staff at Catalonia fuming after regular unprofessional behavior, mainly turning up late to the training. Which has also seen him falling out of favor at the Camp Nou under Estonio Valverde.
Ousmane has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool lately and La Liga expert Guillem Balague claims that Arsenal have made a bid to sign Ousmane on loan with an option to buy.
Though Balague also clams that Dembele is keen for a future at Barcelona and does not want to leave in January.
He said on his YouTube channel: “The only approach from Arsenal was to get him on loan, with an option to buy.
“That was an intermediate, not directly from Arsenal.
“And again, Barcelona did not listen to it.
“Barcelona don’t want to let him go in January either. They believe that they can get something out of him.
“They think he has the potential to make a difference like he did at the start of the season.”
EXPLAINED: OUSMANE DEMBELE SITUATION AT BARCELONA
The Catalans have held talks with Dembele in an attempt to get the Frenchman fully firing as Pep Segura (General Manager, Barcelona) made clear that Ousmane is NOT FOR SALE.
“There is no problem with Dembele,” he told Ser Radio.
“He is very young and has never had to make an effort like the one he is doing now to adapt to Barca’s game.
“We recognise that it is hard for him and he also recognises it, but we’re working to change this situation as quickly as possible.
“Yes, we had a meeting, just like I met with three other representatives.
“But it’s normal, it’s part of my job, they’re natural things.”
Though many paper links Ousmane with Liverpool too, Balague mentions nothing about their involvement over teenagers signatures.
