Everton are currently tied for 16th place in the table with Nottingham Forest (17th) and AFC Bournemouth (18th) on points. If they are to be relegated, the 21-year-old is guaranteed to depart the club. There is still a 99% likelihood that he will switch clubs this summer, regardless of whether or not his team stays in the Premier League. Arsenal remain one of the teams who could make a move, and they’ve been keeping tabs on Onana since a while now.
It has been reported that the Arsenal have been in “constant touch” with the Belgium international’s camp over a possible summer transfer. The fact that Mikel Arteta is confident in his ability to advance his career is great news for his team.
Everton hopes to make between €60m and €70m from the sale. This, coupled with Onana’s ambitions, makes his departure ‘extremely probable’ at the end of the current season.
It’s said, Arsenal have been given the information necessary to successfully sign Onana during the upcoming transfer window.
