Arsenal have learnt that they will have to pay €100m for Barcelona’s Brazilian winger Raphinha after contacting the Catalan club over the possibility of a transfer.
The Gunners recently missed out on signing Mykhaylo Mudryk after coming so close with Chelsea literally snatching the Ukrainian sensation from under their noses at the last minute.
This has left Mikel Arteta & co. scrambling for options to reinforce the wing and Raphinha has emerged as an option who the Gunners can pursue for that position.
After all, the Leeds United man moved to Barcelona in the summer but has found himself below Ousmane Dembele in the pecking order. He is still yet to become a regular starter and could be open to a move.
However, the Spanish club have just signed Raphinha and knows all too well about his potential. Ideally, they will not want to sell him at all but considering the financial position that they are in, they might just agree to sell the Brazilian.
However, their asking price is a little too much for the Brazilian winger and it is highly unlikely that Arsenal pay that kind of money to sign Raphinha.
