Arsenal are eyeing to bring Yannick Carrasco before the end of the January transfer window after abandoning their pursuit of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to Italian media outlet CalcioMercato.
The Gunners made an approach to sign World Cup finalist, Perisic on a loan deal this month but despite Perisic handing in a transfer request, Inter are only willing to let him go on a permanent outright deal before Thursday’s deadline.
But that won’t stop Unai Emery to strengthen their left flank who could help them to pull up their sleeves. Carrasco is reportedly unhappy playing for Dalian Yifang and Arsenal could reconsider a move for Carrasco before the end of the transfer window.

The Gunners could turn to the Belgian as a deal to bring Ivan Perisic to the club looks unlikely in this window. The club wouldn’t be able to match Yannick’s wages but it is understood he would be willing to take a pay cut to play in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, with less than two days left for Arsenal to strengthen their squad, Denis Suarez is expected to seal a loan switch to Emirates stadium after he agreed to extend his contract at the Nou Camp until the summer of 2021.
