Arsenal have seemingly reached a decision for young and promising defensive midfielder Michal Rosiak.
With the player impressing for the Under 21s this season, the Gunners are looking to loan him out so he can gain minutes playing at a higher level.
Several clubs in the EFL Championship have registered their interest in taking Rosiak on loan, with the ball now in Arsenal’s court to decide the future of their talented youngster. As per The Sun’s Alan Nixon, the north London outfit are keen to ensure the player gets valuable first team action which has been hard to come by in Mikel Arteta’s current setup.
Rosiak’s rise to prominence among the Arsenal youth ranks
Aged just 19, Michal Rosiak has shown great promise in the Arsenal youth teams since joining the club as a 13-year-old back in 2018. Rosiak earned his first professional contract with the club in 2023 and has impressed the coaches and has been on Arteta’s radar as well. A versatile player by nature, the Pole can play as a defensive midfielder or anywhere along the backline in a ball-playing role.
Despite only turning 19 in October this year, Rosiak’s performances and composure in his role has seen him become a mainstay in the Under 21s. He has made eight appearances in the Premier League 2, scoring two goals. Rosiak has also made three UEFA Youth League appearances and contributed with one assist. He has also made two appearances in the EFL Trophy.
Despite highly positive progress in various tournaments at youth levels, first team opportunities have been hard to come by. Arsenal are currently looking to compete on multiple fronts such as the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and EFL Cup, and require top quality players. To that tune, the club believes loaning Michal Rosiak out at this point of time would be the best for his development.
