With the impact his brother Jude has been having on World football, younger of the two Jobe Bellingham has been gaining some red carpet layouts from some of the top clubs around Europe. Many football pundits are already lining Jobe to have a similar trajectory as Jude and believe that Jobe Bellingham is equally talented.
Jobe Bellingham moved from Birmingham City to Sunderland for a cheap price of £3 million and is already placing words to his talents at the Stadium of Light.
Dean Jones has tipped for Arsenal to sign Jobe Bellingham and he believes the Gunners should chase the 18-year-old at some point. Dean speaking to Give Me Sport said, “Arsenal as a club are looking to elevate itself to not just be competing over the next five years, but to hopefully try and go on and dominate this league. I mean, that has to be your aim. You want to be the team to beat over the next five years if you’re Arsenal. You have to be looking at players like this because they are the ones that are being looked at by various top clubs across Europe, and you’ve got to be in those conversations.”
Even prior to Dean Jones tipping off about Arsenal’s interest, the Gunners were one of at least three teams closely monitoring Bellingham. Mikel Arteta actively seeks out emerging talents, and should the 18-year-old English attacking sensation sustain his current impressive form, Arsenal might contemplate making a move.
The Gunners, boasting the likes of Charlie Patino and other promising talents from their academy, would seriously consider entering the fray if Bellingham becomes the subject of significant hype. While Tottenham also has a longstanding interest in Bellingham, they are prepared to engage in a transfer battle with Arsenal if necessary. Despite Spurs’ notable growth, Arsenal could hold a slight advantage should a competition for the Sunderland star ensue.
