Although recent league results have been favorable, Mikel Arteta’s men cannot seem to catch a break from injury woes. The squad is further depleted now with Kai Havertz’s season-ending hamstring injury. With very limited options in attack, the Gunners will have to dig deep and brainstorm to find solutions.

There will be added pressure since Liverpool dropped points in their game-in-hand after a 2-2 draw against Everton at Goodison Park. A win could see Arsenal temporarily close the gap down to four points, with the Reds in action against Wolves on February 16.

However, the task will not be easy for Arteta and his men. They will need to find the perfect balance in the lineup and ensure they take all the chances they can get. On that note, let’s explore how the Gunners could line up?

David Raya will take his place between the sticks as he will look to continue his brilliant performances for Arsenal in recent times. In front of him, Jurrien Timber and Myles Lewis-Skelly will play in the fullback roles, with William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes as the central defenders.

In midfield, captain Martin Odegaard will start on the right side, joined by Thomas Partey in the middle and Declan Rice on the left. The real challenge, however, will be picking the attackers.

Leandro Trossard is almost nailed-on to start through the middle, being the most experienced and in-form attacker in the squad. Ethan Nwaneri will start on the right flank, with Raheem Sterling expected to start on the left.

Possible XI: Raya (GK); Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Odegaard (C), Partey, Rice; Nwaneri, Trossard, Sterling.
