With all the transfer saga going on in the papers over Arsenal’s desperate need for a central defender – Raul Sanllenhi is also focused on assuring the offensive line of the Gunners.
Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli writes about Arsenal preparing to give their star strikers an improved deal.
An improved contact is to be offered to both of their front men, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being reportedly offered a one year extension on his current deal with an improved wage of more than the £180,000-a-week he is earning currently.
Alexandre Lacazette will also be offered a new deal with similar duration.
Giulianelli wrote on his Twitter account:

The striking duo took no time become fan favorites at N5 and ofcourse an integral part of Unai Emery’s squad. Aubameyang, finished Premier League with golden boot last season and ended up as Arsenal’s top scorer with 31 goals in all competitions. On the other hand – Alex Lacazette has impressed us with his creativity and desire upfront (alongside his goalscoring, doubtlessly) and was chosen as Arsenal’s Player of the Season by Arsenal faithful.
Arsenal have had some problems with their star players and contracts recently, with Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez being some prime examples – so the fact that they are taking charge of this right now is bit of a relief.
And offering them a new contract shows that fans as well as board appreciates their services to the club.
Arsenal will kickoff their Premeir League campaign against Newcastle United with a real sense of optimism as the signings of Dani Ceballos and Nicolas Pepe provides some real boost for their Champions League objectives and it has also brought some sense of pride and goodwill back to the Emirates.
