Arsenal have received a piece of mixed news in their pursuit of talented Serbian midfielder, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio.
Since quite some time ago, the Gunners have expressed interest in signing a player to bolster their midfield, and they have the Lazio midfielder in mind as a potential target. It would appear that the Italian club is finally ready to consider selling the player as well.
Despite the fact that the midfielder’s heart is no longer in Rome and that he would be better off heading someplace else, Lazio is going to want €100 million for him despite the fact that they know he would benefit from moving somewhere.
There is no way that any team is going to pay that amount for Milinkovic-Savic, not even Chelsea, who has demonstrated in recent times that they are willing to throw money at a problem until it disappears. No club is going to pay that amount for Milinkovic-Savic.
It would be foolish for Lazio to expect any club to meet their asking price for the Serbian player, whose contract will expire at the end of the upcoming campaign. However, if you can get him at the proper price, there aren’t many players who are a better option than Milinkovic-Savic.
