Arsenal have stepped their pedal on the accelerator in a bid to purchase Julian Draxler this summer window. According to Fussball Transfers, the Gunners are one of the many teams putting their feelers on to get the German midfielder.
Draxler is in his final-year of contract at Paris-Saint -German and is expected to leave this summer. He could never establish himself as a first-time started at PSG even after joining them for £32 million back in 2017. And getting into the final year of his contract, he would not be willing to pen a new deal and rather make a move.
Arsenal are also facing a tussle with Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin who have put in their terms of getting the German. Although, their said sum of £7.2 million a year resist the midfielder from joining.
Arsenal’s rumour to Draxler comes in as no shock because the Gunners have been attached with him every time the season of transfer window nears. With Mikel Arteta looking to strengthen his midfield, the rumours can finally turn into a reality and we can see Draxler working at London.
