Bukayo Saka, who had a brilliant season with Arsenal, has been nominated for the 2021 Kopa Trophy. The award, named after French footballer Raymond Kopa, is presented to the best performing player under the age of 21.
Kylian Mbappe of PSG was the first winner of this prestigious trophy in 2018, followed by Juventus centre-back Matthijs de Ligt in 2019. The 2020 Kopa Trophy, unfortunately, had to be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since Arsenal No.7 broke into the Gunners first-team back in 2019, Bukayo Saka has been one of Arsenal’s outstanding performers. The winger was also named Arsenal Player of the Season’s last footballing campaign.
Bukayo Saka has been in excellent form for Arsenal throughout 2021, establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s finest prospects, and he also assisted England in reaching the Euro 2020 final. He has become instrumental for both club and country.
Along with Saka, two of his England national team fellow mates have also been nominated for this prestigious trophy. Man United’s Mason Greenwood and Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham have also been nominated for the 2021 Kopa trophy.
