Arsenal are back!
The Gunners will be back in their hometown for their only preseason friendly at the Emirates as they meet Olympique Lyonnais in the Emirates Cup this Sunday.
Emirates Cup returns this season after a year off, but as only one of fixture for the men’s team and women’s who face Bayern Munich on the same day.
Arsenal have had a successful preseason tour of USA as they notched three victories on the trot against the likes of Colorado Rapids, Bayern Munich and Fiorentina before losing out to Real Madrid on penalties.

All eyes will be on Arsenal’s latest signing, Dani Ceballos, whose arrival from Real Madrid was announced on Thursday.
Arsenal’s official twitter account revealed that the Spaniard will be present for the fixture against Lyon:

Ceballos has found it hard to establish himself at Santiago Bernabeau following his arrival in 2017. However it looks like Ceballos will fill in for Aaron Ramsey at N5 and will certainly be looking to establish his presence at Arsenal.

Sead Kolasinac and Mesut Ozil will take part after escaping unharmed from an attempted car jacking by armed robbers. The likes of Alex Iwobi, Lucas Torreira and Mohamed Elneny are yet to return to action following their extended breaks due to international participation. Laurent Koscielny is not expected to take part in the proceedings.
Lyon
Olympique Lyonnais have had a slow start to their preseason with back-to-back losses against Servette and Genoa. Though they have triplet of English opponents in Arsenal, Liverpool & Bournemouth coming up next week.
Lyon have had some key departures with the likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Ferland Mendy and Nabil Fekir bidding adieu and french striker Moussa Dembele remains in strong links with Manchester United.
