Arsenal’s promising young center-back Maldini Kacurri recently revealed that he would like to go out on loan to help progress his career. He only made his first-team debut earlier this season in a 20-minute cameo against Bolton Wanderers in the EFL Cup, and has been included in Mikel Arteta’s squad on eight other occasions as well.
However, with playing time hard to come by due to the Gunners’ situation with injuries and their desire to remain highly-competitive, Kacurri revealed he is actively seeking a January loan. Speaking to Arsenal.com, the defenders said – “Ideally, I’ll be looking to hopefully get a loan. I feel like that’s my next step, in terms of pushing forward in my career. But let’s see. Whatever it is, I just want to keep working hard. Keep pushing, like usual.”
It remains to be seen what the club decides for the player’s immediate future.
Maldini Kacurri’s rise to prominence at Arsenal
Born in Lewisham, London in 2005, Maldini Kacurri began his initial playing career with Fulham, with whom he remained until 2022, before joining Arsenal’s youth setup.
His aggressive playing style and combative approach to the game immediately caught eyes of scouts, and the player was promoted to the Gunners’ first team earlier this season, and was also handed his debut. However, most of his other playing time has been for the U23s.
Kacurri has played 1028 minutes for them across 13 games, and has also picked up three yellow cards and one red card. Aged just 19, he is still in the baby years as a center-back and has plenty of time to prove himself as a professional.

While a loan move may benefit his career, the Gunners will be extremely careful before picking a destination to aide the player’s growth in the best way possible.
