There’s no denying the fact that Arsenal have the brightest future ahead. Of all the Premier League teams that are presently performing, Arsenal has a plethora of young talent that is unassailable; a bunch of youngsters with heavy responsibilities in the calling.
While a few have already shown their mettle on the pitch, it is important for Arteta to keep supporting them on their way ahead. Mikel Arteta has often been fond of hot/young blood which is purely evident by the selection of his team.
Arsenal is one of the only two teams who have not lost a single game in 2020, the second one being Bayern Munich. And a lot of credit goes to the youngsters who have performed whenever asked for.
While Reiss Nelson amazed everyone during the start of the year, Eddie Nketiah gained laurels after a flying soft touch into the corner against Everton. Not to forget the creator of the goal Bukayo Saka who has been involved in two consecutive games and is also Europa League’s highest assist provider with 5 assists.
The youngsters understand the importance of their rigorous training under Arteta and have hailed their manager pretty well. Talking about Arteta, Eddie Nketiah said:
“He’s great,” he said. “He’s given us a lot of opportunities and he’s showed us that if you work hard in training, it doesn’t matter how old you are, he’ll give you the chance if he thinks you deserve it.”
It’s great for a young player to know that the manager is confident in us and has belief in us and it’s just about working hard each day and improving with each game and that’s what we’re doing.”
“The striker also hit the bar late on, and he’s hopeful that with more playing time he can make more of the chances he’s being given.
“I thought I hit it quite sweet, so I thought it was going to dip in but that’s the second game in a row that I’ve hit the crossbar,” he continued.
“But I’m happy to be a threat and causing chances and I’m getting closer. I know that eventually they’ll keep going in.
“I’m happy with the goal I got but it’s about improving and hopefully just trying to get more.
“The team want to continue to win and continue to improve. That’s the most important thing. We’ll see where we are come the end of the season.”
The young blood have heavy weights on their shoulder of taking the squad into the Premier League which if they are successful in will surely mean that Premier League title nearing London.
