Freddie Ljungberg, who spent the glorious years of his playing career under the legendary Arsene Wenger was recently appointed as Arsenal’s interim manager after Unai Emery was relieved of his managerial duties last week.
Though, no one knows how long Freddie will remain at helm (not even Freddie), he is definitely looking for a some smart solutions for many of his teams’ problems.
And who better to consult to than Arsene? Freddie earlier this week revealed his willingness to have a conversation with Wenger and how he hasn’t been able to do that due to increasing stress of the job. But Ljungberg insists speaking to Arsene Wenger – is among the things he plans to do, and Arsene has backed by showing his willingness to give Freddie advice.
“I’m always happy to help my former players and my former club,” Arsene Wenger speaking with Sky Sports News. “If he has that need then of course I will be available.
“My heart is with the club and I want them to do well. Freddie is fantastically committed. He wanted this job for a long time. He has an opportunity. Let’s get him to work with his ideas and support him.”
