La Liga champions Barcelona are reportedly prepared to offload Andre Gomes and Samuel Umtiti to Premier League club Arsenal in exchange for star forward Alexandre Lacazette.
Although Pierre Emerick Aubameyang grabbed his hands on the Golden Boot this season by scoring 22 goals in the Premier League and sharing the accolades with Liverpool duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, one Gunner has stepped up big time for the club this season.
Alexandre Lacazette has scored crucial goals for Arsenal this term taking his tally to 19 in all competitions and also grabbing 10 assists. In fact, the Frenchman has been so impressive under Unai Emery that even Catalonian heavyweights Barcelona are keen on snapping up a deal for Lacazette.
Barcelona is prepared to offer Arsenal a mammoth €70 million bid for the classic center-forward in the summer transfer window but the Premier League outfit is set to reject any advances from the Spanish giants.
However, Barcelona is now tempting Unai Emery to sell Lacazette by offering two players in the form of Samuel Umtiti and Andre Gomes. The Spanish boss is keen on working with Portuguese midfielder Andre Gomes, who already had an impressive season-long loan with Everton.
The North London side is also in the hunt for defensive reinforcements and Samuel Umtiti has a World Cup on his CV which could certainly bolster the back line for Arsenal.
Lacazette has insisted that he is content with life at the Emirates and would not want a move away from Arsenal who could play in the Champions League next season if they beat Chelsea in the Europa League final later this month.
Emery now has a dilemma in the summer if he chooses to bulge over allowing his star hitman to leave in exchange for two Barcelona stars.
