Arsenal are adapting to Unai Emery’s style of play, it will surely take some time but meanwhile one of their most experienced player is struggling to keep up.

Petr Cech has struggled to play out from the back and has made supporters go frenzy over starting new signing Bernd Leno.

Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster feels sorry for Petr Cech after seeing his struggle to play out from the back.

Foster told BBC’s Radio 5 Live that it’s exhausting for a veteran goalkeeper to suddenly modify his game, with Cech being asked to take an active part in Arsenal’s passing by coach Unai Emery.

Cech’s mistakes nearly cost Arsenal against Manchester City and Cardiff City, though Petr has been  exceptional out there making number of key saves.

“Cech is one of the best goalkeepers the Premier League has seen but that really is not his game,” Foster said.

“His strong points have always been being big and commanding and making saves, but the way football is going now, you almost have to be one of those Ederson type of goalkeepers. It’s going to take some time to get used to and I do feel sorry for him.”

Emery will stick with Cech even though Bernd Leno, who was signed from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer, is better with his feet.

“He has experience. He is intelligent. He is doing what we want,” Emery said. “It’s very important for me to continue doing this and to keep improving.”
