Burnley vs Arsenal: Preview | Premier League 2021/22

Burnley-vs-Arsenal-Preview

After a 1-0 victory against Norwich City last weekend, Arsenal finally managed to find a win and the back of the net in the 2021/22 Premier League campaign.

After collecting all the three points from the win against the Canaries, the Gunners currently sit at 16th place in the points table. Mikel Arteta and Arsenal definitely have a lot of work to do if they want to finish in the Top 6 by the end of the season.

Win against Norwich wasn’t Arsenal’s best performance, but it will surely boost the confidence of the players and the manager.

Meanwhile, Burnley come into this game with a 3-1 away defeat against Everton at Goodison Park. Burnley managed to score the first goal, but Everton ran out winners as they completed a dramatic comeback following goals from Micheal Keane, Andros Towsend and Demarai Gray.

Burnley are winless in the last four matches in the Premier League and are yet to find a win in their last 12 home games. Both the teams have met each other 14 times in the Premier League with, Arsenal winning ten matches in the process and Burnley only once.

The most recent fixture match between the two clubs was in March 2021, which ended up as a draw after Chris Wood’s equalizer which cancelled Pierre Emerick Aubameyang’s opening goal.
