Chelsea are open to selling Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk in January to cut their losses, per GiveMeSport.
The 23-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in 2022. It looked like he might finally move to the Emirates in the January 2023 window, but the Blues went toe to toe with Mikel Arteta’s side.
In the end, the player shockingly decided to move to Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk for a staggering fee of £62 million plus £26.5m in potential add-ons. Since then, he has failed to hit the ground running at his new club with just 12 goal contributions in 62 appearances.

Called a massive failure, many would have questioned his decision to choose the West Londoners over Arsenal. But it has been a blessing in disguise for the Gooners. Missing out on Mudryk allowed them to sign former Brighton and Hove Albion star Leandro Trossard.
CHELSEA READY TO PART WAYS WITH MUDRYK
As per recent claims, Todd Boehly and his management are looking to find a solution and cash in on the Krasnograd-born-wide attacker in January.
Enzo Maresca got his key targets in Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho this summer. Mudryk risks missing out if he continues to stay put at Chelsea.
Arsenal could look into the conditions of the deal if the star winger is listed in the January market. But they might be sceptical about signing a player who rejected them in the first place. The Gooners have tasted success by signing out-of-form Blues’ star in the past few years, and Mudryk is no different.
While speaking to talkSPORT, former Chelsea player turned pundit Scott Minto claimed that the Ukrainian star would be a lot better in an Arsenal shirt.
🗣️ Scott Minto:
“You talk about Mudryk, who Arsenal wanted. I am not sure he’s a great footballer. He certainly is not showing it at the moment.
I think he would be a lot better in an Arsenal shirt than he would in a Chelsea shirt. That’s an indictment of Chelsea.”

He can flourish under Arteta, a manager who has a clear vision and has built a more stable environment at the Emirates. Mudryk is a quality player with incredible pace and dribbling skills. His confidence has been heavily affected due to a lack of playing time unded three different managers.

It is likely that Chelsea would receive only loan offers for the 23-year-old winger, and they need to consider that, taking into account Mudryk’s falling market value. His poor form means there are a lack of suitors as well.
Hence, it will be interesting to see whether Arteta and co. find it worthy to invest in the wantaway star in the next transfer window.
