Danny ‘Datguy’ Welbeck could join Crystal Palace before his contract expires in the summer, as The Eagles look to bring in Winter reinforcements.
Danny Welbeck is used as an impact-sub upfront, behind Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang… and it is highly unlikely that he will be offered a new deal, with his contract expiring in the summer.
Danny Welbeck is another player who fits in the long list of players who were allowed to enter into final months of his contract, with Alexis Sanchez and Robin Van Persie leaving the North London side in a similar manner.
With the focus another star player, Aaron Ramsey, probably leaving the club in the summer after the agreement was taken off the table by Arsenal. Danny Welbeck is just another guy who is in the similar phase and with upcoming talent at Arsenal in Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah – he might not be offered a new deal.
The Sun reports that Crystal Palace are keen on bringing in Danny Welbeck in the Summer to partner Wilfried Zaha upfront. Danny Welbeck may complement Zaha very well, as both of them provides different threats upfront and can get along well to trouble the opponents.
Crystal Palace will have to offer something around £10 million in January to secure the services of Danny Welbeck. At that amount – Welbeck is certainly a bargain.
