Eddie Nketiah has been caught in midst of staying at Arsenal and departing on loan this January.
Nketiah vetoed joining Leeds United on loan in the summer, but his stay at Elland Road hasn’t gone much according to his plans. Marcelo Bielsa preferred Patrick Bamford upfront with Eddie much of a second fiddle and that ended up costing Leeds’ Nketiah’s services as Arsenal called him back due to lack of game time.
In his time for The Whites, Nketiah scored five goals in nineteen appearances much of which came off from the bench.
Though his arrival was followed by talks of other Premier League and Championship sides interested in getting him until the end of the season with likes of Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol City, and Aston Villa, all interested in his services.
Though since his return to London Colney, Nketiah has been training under guidance of Mikel Arteta and its said Arsenal’s gaffer has beem impressed with his attitude and is looking to hand him a chance at competing for his place at N5.
Nketiah was due to be loaned out for the second half of the campaign but will now stay & compete for a place in the Arsenal first-team, having impressed new head coach Mikel Arteta with his attitude in training. [Telegraph] #afc pic.twitter.com/fPis9THFTE
