Arsenal target Emin Bayram has expressed his admiration for the Gunners, sparking speculation of a potential January move.
Arsenal’s identity under Mikel Arteta continues to get stronger as the club are now renowned for being one of the most defensively solid teams in Europe. They have gained admirers from all over the world, with the latest addition to the list being KVC Westerlo defender Emin Bayram, who has expressed his fondness towards the Gunners.
The 21-year-old is a highly-rated center back and as per reports from Now Arsenal, the north Londoners have kept tabs on him for a while now. Additionally, Bayram was also approached by Stoke City last summer, as well as Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Brighton & Hove Albion, who are well-known for their scouting and developmental abilities. Should the Gunners be interested, they will have to move swiftly to fend off competition and sign their target.
Speaking to Gazet van Antwerpen Stad en Rand, Emin Bayram expressed he has a soft spot for Arsenal. He said,
“The Premier League is my favorite league, and I also have a soft spot for Arsenal.”
The Turk has been left impressed with Arsenal’s fearless style of play and emphasis on developing young talent, and could be tempted to make the switch once the January window opens up.
A brief background on Emin Bayram
Emin Bayram was born in Istanbul in Turkey and spent his entire youth career coming through the ranks at giants Galatasaray between 2013-19. He then broke into the first team that year, but could not make space for himself in a stacked squad, making just 20 senior appearances for his boyhood club.
He had loan spells at Boluspor and later KVC Westerlo, after which he joined the latter permanently in 2024. He has made 37 appearances for his current club, scoring two goals and assisting two as well.
Standing at nearly 6-foot-3, the right-footed defender offers solid coverage in the backline, and could also be used as a threat during set-pieces owing to his height and aerial abilities. Bayram is surely a player who Mikel Arteta would consider, hoping the asking price from Westerlo is not too high.
