An overview of the Arsenal players representing their countries at the 2024 UEFA Euros.
GROUP A
GERMANY VS HUNGARY (2-0)
Kai Havertz: A frustrating game for the forward. Stretched the defense with numerous runs but didn’t find much success with the ball. Substituted at the hour mark.
SCOTLAND VS SWITZERLAND (1-1)
Kieran Tierney: Delivered a solid performance until he was stretchered off with what appears to be a major injury. Unfortunately, this injury likely ends his tournament involvement.
GROUP B
SPAIN VS ITALY (1-0)
David Raya: An unused substitute as Spain confirm their status as group winners.
Jorginho: A poor performance from the midfielder. Spain dominated the first half, and Jorginho often lost possession and failed to shield his defense effectively. Substituted at halftime for the more physical Bryan Cristante.
GROUP C
ENGLAND VS DENMARK (1-1)
Bukayo Saka: Contributed to Harry Kane’s goal but offered little else. Had a quiet second half and was eventually substituted.
Declan Rice: A poor game from the usually reliable midfielder. Sloppy in possession and ineffective in winning the ball back. His performance led to Gareth Southgate commenting on how the squad is missing Kalvin Phillips.
Aaron Ramsdale: An unused substitute with England recording yet another lackluster performance.
GROUP D
POLAND VS AUSTRIA (1-3)
Jakub Kiwior: Solid in defense but poor in possession, misplacing numerous passes.
NETHERLANDS VS FRANCE (0-0)
William Saliba: Excellent showing from the center-back. Superb in defense and distributed the ball well. A much more convincing performance compared to the last game.
GROUP E
SLOVAKIA VS UKRAINE (1-2)
Oleksandr Zinchenko: A strong performance from the versatile player. His pinpoint cross led to Ukraine’s equalizer, and he made several good runs to support the attack.
BELGIUM VS ROMANIA (2-0)
Leandro Trossard: Dropped after the shock defeat to Slovakia in the last match. Came on as a substitute with 30 minutes to play but didn’t make a significant impact.
